Rooted in Broward Celebrates 4 Years with a Holiday Plant Swap and Market at Laser Wolf

On November 23, Rooted in Broward celebrated its four year anniversary with a Holiday Plant Swap and Market that brought together community, creativity, and the shared love of plants.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing so many familiar faces alongside new ones. Longtime members, first-time swappers, vendors, and supporters gathered to connect, talk plants, and enjoy time together. Four years in, it was a reminder of how strong and supportive this community continues to be. There were many new faces and it was so wonderful seeing the posts on our FaceBook page with such positive experiences at the swap!

Holiday decor, music, cold brews, and an easygoing atmosphere made it a place people wanted to stay and enjoy. Even the weather, though warmer than we wanted, rewarded us with clear skies! A special thank you to Perfect Choice Nursery @perfectchoicenursery, our premier event sponsor, for donating 10 beautiful plants that were featured in raffles and giveaways. The smiles of the faces of the winners was priceless! Their support added tremendous value to the event and was appreciated by everyone who participated. We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to partner with Perfect Choice for this event. We truly hope to be able to foster this partnership and build continued support for future swaps.

Holiday Market and Featured Vendors

In addition to the plant swap, the anniversary event included a holiday market filled with thoughtful and creative gift options. Whether it was a crochet holiday bunny, a crawdad Santa ornament being pulled by his trusty gators or huge leafed hoyas, philodrendrons and plant art the vendors really outdid themselves. They brought a mix of plants, handmade goods, and unique finds that reflected both the season and the spirit of Rooted in Broward. We couldn't thank our vendors enough!

Raffles and Auctions Powered by Generosity

The raffles and auctions were a major highlight of the celebration thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

A big thank you to Aswini of Green Haven by Aswini @greenhavenbyaswini for donating a stunning, large anthurium that quickly became a crowd favorite.

We are also grateful to Marc Isaac of Plants by Marc @plantsbymarc for donating an entire tray of rare and beautiful plants, which made the auction especially exciting for collectors and plant lovers alike
