Rooted in Broward x Laser Wolf: A Plant Party Recap – August 25th, 2025

On Sunday, August 25th, Rooted in Broward and Laser Wolf hosted another incredible Sunday Service Plant Swap + Vendor Market! And Once again, our plant-loving community showed up in full force. From rare greenery to handmade art, ramen to raffles, this swap had it all and proved that plants + people = the best kind of party

A Plant Swap with Something for Everyone

The patio at Laser Wolf (901 Progresso Dr, Suite 101, Fort Lauderdale, FL) was buzzing with plant swappers, collectors, and curious first-timers ready to trade, shop, and connect. This time the designated free plant swap table was clearly marked and a hit, filled with rooted cuttings, pots, tools, and plant goodies that made swapping easy and fun.

But that was just the start — our vendor lineup was absolutely stacked. We had a record 9 vendors at this event and a record breaking amount of attendees!

Food, Drinks, and Music Kept the Vibes High

This was more than just a plant swap — it was a celebration. Kaminari Ramen (@kaminariramen) took the spotlight as our featured food vendor, serving up an amazing menu from Takeshi and Melody. Inside Laser Wolf, the bar kept cold drinks flowing while DJ Y.K. Hamilton (@Y.K.Hamilton) spun the soundtrack to the day. Behind the bar, Cameron and Jerrod kept the good vibes rolling with their unbeatable hospitality sporting their new Rooted In Broward Official Shirts!

We Printed More Shirts!

Many have reached out via Instagram about getting their hands on the R. Beans (@are.beans) original design shirts that sold out. Fear not, we have ordered double the amount we had on hand at the last swap and will be available on Nov. 23rd. If you can't wait that long, we will have a tent at the upcoming 1 Year Anniversary Party of BMC, Tripping Animals, Satellite Pinball Lounge located at the Oakland Park Culinary Arts District on Saturday, Oct. 11 starting at 3PM located at 35th St. & North Dixie Hwy.

Raffles, Auctions, and Plenty of Laughs

Our raffles and auctions inside Laser Wolf were a highlight yet again. At 6 PM, the crowd gathered to bid on rare plants, artwork, and exclusive items, all while raising funds to keep our swaps thriving. Proceeds support website hosting, raffle items, and tipping out our hardworking DJ and bar staff who make these events feel like true community celebrations.

One particular family who supported with buying a whopping number of tickets took home a ton of goodies! That's how it's done. The more tickets you get the more prized you take home.

Of course, like any event, we’re always learning and improving so please let us know how we can keep improving to make the events better. Overall the laughs, trades, new friendships and smiles from customers with their beautiful plant purchases made it a true plant party from start to finish.
